Reviews:
* Head-turning style; strong supercharged V6; manual transmission available on coupe; sharp handling; civilized ride; upscale interior. Source: Edmunds
* From every angle, the body of the S5 stands apart with its wide stance and muscular lines. The 2015 flourishes with style including gorgeous color options, aggressive Singleframe grille, LED taillights, daytime running lights, two sets of fog lights, and automatic xenon headlights. Like Audi interior in general, the cabin of the S5 serves as a showcase for blending technology and graceful design. Interior quality is displayed with the three-spoke multifunction flat-bottom sport steering wheel with paddles, power windows with pinch protection, black cloth headliner, panoramic tilting sunroof, auto-dimming interior rear view mirror with a digital compass, and aluminum door sill inlays. A supercharged 3.0L V6 has 333hp to ensure you'll get to your destination quickly. A six-speed manual transmission raises the thrills further by granting more involvement in the process. Best of all, quattro all-wheel drive means the dynamic greatness of the S5 can be enjoyed year-round, and with rain/light sensors for both headlights and windshield wipers at that. A suite of available technologies has made the S5 a true champion of progress. Audi connect with Google Earth imagery and Wi-Fi connectivity allows for up to eight passenger devices and multiple ways to stay connected. Ten speakers blast an integrated iPod, CD or mp3 playbacks as the driver utilizes cruise control on the journey. The S5 is rounded out by a terrific safety package of airbags, anti-theft alarm, safety belt reminders and tire pressure monitoring system. Source: The Manufacturer Summary

  • Worth every penny.

I own a sprint blue S5 08 manual. Purchasing this car was probably one of the best decisions of my life. The one thing I want to make very clear about driving this car is the feeling it gives you, the driving experience. The driving experience of an all wheel drive, V8 manual is like none other. The S5 has great handling, but the steering is slightly muted. It gives you a lot of confidence on corners as well as exiting corners. It eats up miles on the highway for breaktfast! The engine is one of the best Audi built engines that is naturally aspirated (no turbos) and lasts a very long time if taken care of. The interior is mature and very nice to be in. The V8 sounds amazing, but not intrusive or modified. The exterior of this car is timeless and arguably one of the most beautiful cars ever made. It has great curves from every angle and could pass for a 2014 audi. The average casual person would assume you're driving a newer audi. The daytime running head lights complement the exterior very well. Gas mileage is bad (obviously) but totally worth it. Car is a little expensive to maintain but again, totally worth it for anyone that has a true appreciation for cars.

I've owned the car since Feb '08. I am extemely satisfied and have no regrets with my purchase. The one drawback I've read about is the typical all-wheel drive sensation that is transfered through the steering wheel upon heavy accelation. Personally though, I believe this is overshadowed by the increased handling/control the all-wheel drive affords you in inclement driving conditions. Either way, it's one fun car to drive and the styling is fantastic.

Coming from several years of BMW ownership (325 CIC, M3), I can't say enough good things about the S5. The technology is superior and the fit/finish of the cabin is exquisite. It's the simple things that make it a joy to drive and there's no beating the QUATTRO to make the power seem so accessible. I was torn between the new M3 and the S5, but frankly, the M3 has gotten "too popular". I've only seen 1 other S5 on the road, and it caused me to turn my head. If you can get your hands on one, you won't regret it!
